Update:

Overnight Zeke’s aterial line popped out of his wrist. They’ve had to run another arterial line in his groin. So far he has been stable but they continue to try finding a balance between the sedation and pain meds. As he is diuresing he is starting to wake more. So they’ve had to increase his sedation and give him a bit of a muscle relaxant. This is causing a lower heart rate than what they want.

His temperature continues to increase and the nurses are having to ice him every couple of hours. His chest will remain open and they will revisit attempting to close him up at the end of the week. Pray that his heart rate stabilizes and his blood pressure remains at an optimal level.
