Today’s update will also cover yesterday. Much of the day yesterday was spent getting acquainted with a new team of doctors. We have been fortunate that since Zeke’s surgery he’s had the same doctors whom he had from his previous surgery. With a new team comes the task of setting goals that Zeke can meet safely. And getting acquainted with what his triggers are. Most of yesterday was spent trying to get a new line in somewhere on his body. The only access was through the arms. He currently has an arterial line in his left goin and a central line in his neck. His wrists are blistered and can’t have any lines inserted. Dr Luciana as able to get a line in his left arm with the hopes that it will not pop out. His central line had to be changed and fixed as it was leaking.

We are still working on getting as much fluid diuresed from his tissues. There is the current issue with his pd drain inserted in his belly to drain fluid getting clogged with fibrous tissue. This is something the team does not encounter a lot and in fact pointed out they rarely ever have issues with it draining. This is a huge prayer request. He can only lose a certain amount of fluid every hour without it affecting his blood pressure and heart rate.

Pray the issues with the drain are resolved and they are able to find a good balance with his diuretics to help Zeke lose the appropriate amount of fluid.

Pray the antibiotics are effective in treating his respiratory infection. And his temperature stabilizes.
