Hypertension
April 27th, 2023
The cath lab on Wednesday went really well and we are so grateful for answered prayer. Dr Coe went in prepared to intervene where necessary and came out with a really good report for us. There won’t be a need for surgery in his opinion however Zeke has pulmonary hypertension that has been caused by narrowing arteries leading to high venous pressure. This helped explain why he was constantly swelling. He ballooned the narrow spaces and Zeke responded really well. This will most likely be something that he gets monitored every couple of months to see if the stenosis is returning but so far no surgery which is huge!
We had to stay overnight and got discharged today. It was really rough for Zeke as most hospital stays mean no sleep and that’s hard for a 14 month old babe but he was such a brave little boy and made it through.
For now we go back to our clinic visits and continued therapies to help with motor development and weaning the ng tube. Thank you son much for praying. Please continue to pray he progresses in all the other areas we are working on with him.
