In God We Trust

Today Zeke got his chest closed. It’s been a bit of a rocky start for the chest closure. He was diuresed to what Dr Honjo felt was an acceptable size to attempt chest closure. The procedure went well however it’s now helping Zeke’s heart adjust to working in a closed chest. The team felt there was sufficient room in his chest which is encouraging. Right now his pressures and oxygen saturation levels are not at an acceptable rate. What is of great concern is his CVP (central venous pressure), so there is a continuous titrating of his inotropic meds happening. Bloodwork has been ordered to ensure all his levels are ok and there will be cultures done to ensure there is no infection.
Please pray he has a stable night and the next 24 hours pass by with good numbers for him all around, from mixed venous, cvp, blood pressure and heart rate. Pray he continues to diurese and he tolerates it well. And that his temperature begins to stabilize. It’s been a busy day for his little body.
Ephesians 3:14-21 “For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named, that according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith—that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.”
