Keeping Zeke Stable
November 21, 2022 10:00pm
Today was busy spent trying to keep Zeke’s blood pressure and heart rate stable as they tried to increase the lasix. Another diuretic was introduced to help with getting his edema down. Unfortunately his arterial lines were not working in one wrist so it was removed and the other is starting to pull out because he is so edematous. They managed to patch it but are keeping a close eye on it as they cannot have it fail. This is where they are drawing blood for tests every 4 hours.
He is starting to move and wake however good this is they are trying to keep a balance of him being sedated as his chest is open. Pray for wisdom as they balance the amount of sedation and morphine needed to keep him comfortable while he is trying to diurese and as they increase the diuretics.
Ephesians 3:20-21 “Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.”
