Moving upstairs - 4D

We’ve moved upstairs to 4D. This is very encouraging as it gets us closer to getting discharged to go back to RMH. We'll not be heading back to Alberta yet but it'll be a step closer to getting things resolved with Zeke. At the moment the 4D staff anticipate we'll be here for a week or so due to Zeke’s significant loss of weight and calcium issues. He is also weaning from morphine and clonidine but I’m hopeful that he'll get to wean these drugs faster than the last time he was admitted. We have normal levels for the rest of the electrolytes except calcium so please pray that this particular electrolyte stabilizes. We'll still need to keep the central line in due to Zeke being a hard poke but please pray for the site to heal as its raw and bleeding from the sterile solutions they've been using.

Ben and the kids will be flying back home Friday as Ben needs to get back to work. Please pray for us to find affordable tickets and for the transition back to go well for Ben as there’s a fair amount of work to catch up with. We will be meeting with the team before he leaves to discuss next steps regarding what needs to happen next for Zeke’s heart anatomy. Pray for continued trust in the Lord regarding all he has for Zeke, wisdom for the team, strength and endurance for Ben and me and for the kids. We are so grateful for the support we've received and continue to extend our heartfelt thanks to you all. This journey has been a difficult one but your prayers, support and encouragement have bolstered our faith. We thank God for each of you.

Ephesians 3:14-20

“For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named, that according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith—that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.”
