New Year, New Mercies and Grace
January 3, 2023
It’s been a while since the last update and a lot has happened. Ezekiel got transferred from the cccu (cardiac icu) to 4D. This has all been encouraging for us as he is moving in the right direction and I also get to stay with him which has been a joy for my mama heart. He is still feeding through the tube and is still battling edema. This is something the team on 4D is working on helping him with, in addition to continuing the wean from his meds. He still has a ways to go but we are hopeful it will go well and he will be out of the hospital best case scenario at the end of the month.
Some things you could be praying for; a better sense of how to balance the electrolyte supplements he is getting and his diuretics. This is the battle between his getting puffy and needing electrolyte supplementation but also needing to get rid of extra fluid.
Second if you could pray for his clots of which he has quite a few. His latest physiology does not work best with clots, so please pray his body is able to deal with breaking up the clots more effectively.
Lastly pray for our other three kiddoes. They will soon have to leave for Calgary although I want them to stay, my help here in Toronto has come to an end. Pray for the Lord to continue to guide us to make the best decisions possible with all the challenges presented before us. Once again thank you saints for joining with us in prayer. We continue to be eternally grateful!
Psalm 46:7-11 “The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress. Selah Come, behold the works of the Lord, how he has brought desolations on the earth. He makes wars cease to the end of the earth; he breaks the bow and shatters the spear; he burns the chariots with fire. Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth! The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress. Selah”
