Not out of the woods yet:

Overnight Zeke remained the same and is still relying very heavily on medications to stabilize his blood pressure and help his heart. The team at rounds were concerned with the heavy reliance on meds and chatted about what other options are available to help relieve the work the heart is having to do and reduce inflammation. They will continue to monitor him very closely but if he remains very heavily dependent on medications over the next 24 hours then there has been conversations to put him on ECMO. This will do the work of oxygenating his blood and ensuring all his organs are getting proper blood flow and give his lungs and heart a break after what was a very long surgery. Neurology has also had to do a brain scan because of discrepancies they are seeing on his right side. There is concern that he is having mini seizures or there is a brain bleed they are not picking up. They are going to introducing tinier probes that will cover his entire head to get a better read of his brain. Because he is heavily sedated it could be a combination of the sedation suppressing adequate blood flow to the brain but they won’t know till they get a better read of his entire brain. Please continue to pray that Zeke is able to slowly move in a direction that shows his heart is taking to the significant physiological changes that have been made. We continue to trust the Lord every step of the way.
