Zeke got his central line from his neck taken out yesterday and has a PICC line inserted into his arm. This is a bit more long term for any meds or nutritional supplementation he may need. Although the PICC line is necessary for now, it has been hard to watch as they cut through his little arm to insert the line into a major vein. God has truly been a strength for our little boy and for his mama as she watches the many procedures they've had to do. With the PICC line in we are being officially moved out of the critical care unit (the ICU for cardiac babies) today and going up to 4D. This is the floor we want to be on as it gets us closer to discharge if all goes well. Also, with this move I get to be with Zeke overnight and don't have to leave! They have given us a room with a cot for me to sleep in!

Zeke still has the chest tube in and the doctors are waiting for the fluid output to decrease. So please pray this happens in the next day or so. As for feeds, we are still on the supplement he gets through the NG tube and very low amounts of breast milk which he gets orally. They are waiting to see how he tolerates the small feeds before we can increase them. Please pray he has a good poop and tolerates his small feeds well.
