Stollery Hospital

April 25th 2023

The results from Zeke’s MRI came back with more questions than answers. His constant edema has increased with the team suspecting that he has SVC syndrome or pulmonary hypertension. All of these are clinical observations without the supporting data. A cath lab has been scheduled for April 26th. The hope for the Cath lab is to get a better reading of the pressures in Zeke’s heart and the data to confirm their diagnosis or disprove it.

Our hope and prayer is that the cath lab would provide these answers and a way forward to help Zeke with all the symptoms he’s been experiencing. If another surgery is required as they are thinking; please pray for wisdom for our family to know which team is best suited for Zeke’s needs and for wisdom for the doctors as they navigate another complex layer of Zeke’s heart and anatomy.

In all things we trust the Lord being reminded constantly of the scripture in 2 Corinthians 4:16-18, “So we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day. For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison, as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal.

Thank you so much for joining with us in prayer once more to lift Ezekiel up to the Father as we pray for healing for his heart.

Romans 15:13 “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.”
