Surgery Complete

Dr Honjo has just completed surgery and the biventricle repair went well.

It took much longer than what they anticipated but Zeke was stable through it all. They’ve had to leave his chest open and will close him up tomorrow. This is so there isn’t any pressure from the bones they suture up pressing on and compromising the repairs they have done on his heart. We are past the biggest risk but the next 24 hours will be critical to watch for bleeding, clots, high blood pressure and stable stats. He is currently on high doses of medication to keep him stable. They need to decrease these meds to close him up. Pray that he is able to tolerate the meds being decreased over night so they can close him up.
