Weekend Update
December 19th, 2022
Today’s update will cover the weekend and today. So far Zeke has done well with his blood pressures, diuresing and saturations. He has tolerated some of his weans and Praise God we are moving in the direction of less supports. He got the breathing tube removed today but had to go on Bipap because of his immobile left diaphragm. If tomorrow’s X-ray shows that his diaphragm is still not moving after extubation and being on Bipap he will need to have a plication surgery to have his left lung expand better. Ultimately our hope is for Zeke to not have another surgery but if this is what he needs to progress then we have no other choice.
Please pray for wisdom for Dr Honjo as he discusses with the team what is the best way moving forward. We are so grateful for his insights and the work that he has done so far on Zeke. We continue to be grateful for all the prayers and supports from afar. Please pray the weans continue to go well and for healing for his diaphragm.
Psalm 71:5 “For you, O Lord, are my hope, my trust, O Lord, from my youth.”
